  • Valve cover Gaskets?

So here is a question... Will 1995 valve cover gaskets work on a set of 1996 valve covers? the parts store lists 2 different parts for the '95 vs the '96, they both look to be the same shape the '96 gasket set is like 2x-3x more expencive...

trying to cut costs a little for the swap.

Nope. I ran into the same problem. The outer edge seal is the same, but the circular ones on the '96 that seal the spark plugs are larger in diameter.

Dude, good call. I have my 96 top end to do the swap, but I assumed the valve cover gaskets were the same. I guess I will modify my original rear cover to make this setup work then

jmgtp modified his rear cover to work with the 96 top end from what he told me a while back. I think I will go this route too, since I have the PCV tube that goes from the nipple under the LIM. Hopefully he will chime in before you do anything so possibly you could save some $$$ and go this route as well.
