thx to all for the input on this gripe. turns out it was the IAC sensor. not once did it throw a code so file this away for future ref.

Next time I see one doing that I will be sure to plug in my pc and see if the IAT is reading close to what it is outside. Strange...

IAC =/= IAT
and interestingly enough: depending on your BCC, the IAC error code may NOT be enabled. all of the BINs i have except for one have it enabled... AXSJ didn't.Comment
