  • Question about wasted spark ignition

I seem to remember it being said that it doesn't matter which coil terminal the plug wires attach to. For example, on the 1-4 coil the #1 plug wire can go to either the #1 or #4 terminal. Is that correct?

    Thanks,

    ~Neil

correct, the ECM fires both plugs on the coilpack at the same time.

EDIT: i would keep them the way they are supposed to go just for simplicity...

Thank you for your help. I had to relocate the coils on my LQ1-Fiero install. Switching one of the pairs helps clean up the routing. I'm using a set of '96-'97 plug wires and they have the plug number printed on each wire, so I ordered a set of shrink sleeve wire markers to keep them straight.
