all the vac lines where basicly junk and the FPR was putting out full pressure becuase of this. the car runs alot smoother now. will take it out for a drive later

i will say this the the LQ1 sounds like sex

did notice something odd though. isn't 95 sapose to be obd 1.5? becuase this car is OBD 1 has the OBD 1 connector and has the ECM with the removable E-prom chips. if it has a diffrent tune might explain why the car can break the tires loose when it shifts into second hmmm

any way the car drove fine no lose of power fuel milage seems to have gone up though. throttle is more responsive as well

            normal.

the 94-95 LQ1s ALL has removeable PROMs, meaning they can be tuned(i'm actually trying to work with ben on this one so that we may see 94-95LQ1 tunes coming from WOT-Tech). they use a $2E XDF, which took me about 12 hours to make in TP... and another couple of hours for the ADS...

after a certain breakpoint in the VIN, they switched over to the OBD2 connector, but retained the original PCM.

so based on the fact that there is NOTHING different between the 91-93 and 94-95 LQ1 PCMs(other than SFI(not new), TCC PWM(not this either), and a MAF(definitely not new)), i very rarely call it a obd1.5. once the PCMs start using flash, thats where i draw the line.

so if i want more torque all i have to do is pull the vac line for my FPR?? lol sounds like one of those "hey i just took off the restrictor plate, but keep it on the down low cuz its not exactly legal" kind of power mods.

lol maybe someone should go n post it on a Honda forum or something... hahaha

hooking up the FPR vacuum line drops the fuel pressure between like 5-10psi at idle, and it returns to normal at WOT. if unhooking makes the car perform better, you need more fuel...

no i was saying it still runs the same with breaking loose when shifting to second and having low end tourqe. it the vaclines did was make it idle right

you know, since i did my starter on my car, on top of starting like it really WANTS to go, it seems like its performing better, all i can think of is maybe i had a loose ground when i took the battery out, and it got properly tightened when it all went back together. it even sounds like it has more balls... maybe im trippin. either way, the only thing this motor is missin is some good low end power. when do we get to see some pics of this 95 gtp?

i can see it starting, and MAYBE a little bump in power since it sounds like you might have grounding issues elsewhere as well.

poor ground would mean a possible weaker spark so yup that is vasry feesable.

i will get pics next time i see it and have a camara

I know my 91 pulled better before it shredded the belt before. Then after the belt change and for sure setting the cams where they are supposed to be, it wasn't as fast- so I would have to say the cam timing is off. Not setting the timing stock will also give a lope at idle, just like jmgtp said earlier in the thread. I agree with what he said about the 13* not giving low end grunt, but then again after the 91 got ported and polished heads and a custom tune any launches above 3k rpms resulted in what Ben called "Instant tire death" I think it was called. After that work done to it, my 91 did indeed have low end grunt- enough so that Michael from FFP (bowtiekid79) commented on it having it when I took him for a ride in it.
