Question : crank sensor

help me i have a 92 lumina z34 3.4 dohc so i went to get a crank sensor today all the part numbers matched and everything for the 3.1 and the 3.4 but the thing is they are to diffrent sensors the 3.1 is long and thin and the one that i pulled from the car is chort and fat same wire conectors just 2 diffrent sensors can someone please help i went to the dealership and they were even lost i dont think the motor is the original one

Its the same crank sensor as a 3.1. Take a pic of what you pulled.
