  • Throughly confused!!

96 DOHC from Monte Carlo in my Fiero. Got the car running somewhat. On the dyno the car has no power and starts breaking down at 5000 rpm. Replaced plugs, wires with no change. So I then got a new ICM and installed it. The engine does not fire at all (replaced with another ICM) same problem. I am at a loss. I reinstalled the original ICM and the engine starts right up??? I don't know if the module that the engine runs with is for a DOHC as I do have a 3800 Series II in my garage. I may have installed it! Any one have any ideas as to why the engine won't run on the correct ICM?

      firing order

The firing order is the same 143652 I believe. I did set it up the same on all the ICM's that I tried.

The sequence he listed is most likely the coilpack numbering order. If it runs right with the original ICM, why not just keep that one in there? You aren't gaining anything by using something different.

            found the prblem

I had to reverse the 2 wires from the Crank Position Sensor. Fixed the problem engine runs way better ( 206 Hp to the ground)
