I would think fuel delivery issue, fpr possibly. I replaced mine due to it starting and cutting out right away. Once replaced it never did it again.

      Could be many things.

One common cause of stalling on these motors is intake manifold gasket failure. This includes both the upper and lower set. Relatively easy to change and cheap for the 91-95 motors. A bad gasket will create a vacuum leak and really throw the ecm off and allow the motor to stall and behave somewhat erratically.

A lot of the time there is another symptom, along with the stalling, that is evident when the intake gaskets leak. That is a very high idle speed when you first start the motor on a cold engine. As the engine warms and the metal manifolds expand they force a better seal on the gaskets.

This may or may not be your problem, but if your looking for ideas this is one. If you decide to replace them it is a good time to change the spark plugs and wires as well.

put a fuel pressure guage on it. mine did something simmilar to what you described and ended up having a defective fuel pump.. when they fail they are very quarky. Thats where i would start.
