assuming you have something that fills in the low pressure side:
look at your airbox from directly above. see an A/C port? NOT THAT ONE, thats the high side, but you shouldn't be able to get the charging kit on that one since they're two different sizes.
baiscly, you have to pull the airbox, and try to connect it to the one thats a bitch to see and reach.

Yes it gets cold, lol ,
but if it leaked it out in the first place you have a leak, probably wont last long, more than likely you will need a new condensor, its the most common to go in the w-bodys - a/c wise that is.

as you are emptying the can, its going from being at a very high pressure, to around 40psi, so yes it should get quite cold. take a can of compressed air(for stuff like computer keyboard cleaning and stuff), invert it and spray, that shit is like liquid nitrogen... and as long as there are no leaks in the system, it should stay cold. wifey's GP's A/C was cold as ice after i converted it to r134a and charged it, but it blew a fitting loose after 2 days... that was depressing. but if you notice the compressor stops working, fill some UV leak detector in the system as well, and that should help find it. if the compressor does quit engaging you'll need to jump the relay, but thats an explanation for some other time if necessary.

I usually jump the refrigerant pressure switch to make sure the compressor is ok when I try to troubleshoot a/c. That computer compressed air is fun when upside down too. I run up behind people and shoot it on the back of their neck. If they are half asleep, it sure does wake them up-60v6's 2nd Jon M.

Ouch. I've never left it on long enough to do that. Just a quick squirt was enough to scare the pants off of unsuspecting peeps.-60v6's 2nd Jon M.
