on the brighter side, fixing the oil leak should come cheap with two new headgaskets.

Sounds like a blown head gasket to me.

I would pressure test the cooling system. Do it with a cold and hot engine. I had a car in my garage once that would hold pressure just fine while cold, but once it warmed up it would puke coolant, give no heat from the heater and it would also overheat. Pressure tested it hot and it leaked like a sieve. Changed the head gaskets and it was problem solved.

edit: I DID pressure test the cooling system. My bad...i tested it cold from sitting overnight, and then i let it warm up and i tested it again. it held fine too
