Cranks no start 3.4

Drove to day went to work a day at work went to go start car it acted like it was going to start.but didnt checked all fuses and relays all good, one queston is when test the fuel pump test wire there is no power with ignition switch just turn on i get power only when in crank positon, is this right or should this wire have power on with the ignition switch in the on positon? The next queston is i tried to start the car with starter fluid and still nothing. Makes me think icm for no spark. I also bellive that you have to have all signals coming from icm for fuel and spark reason why i say this because i dont hear my fuel pump coming on as iam use too. If anyone know anything on this please help, i really think it the icm

If you don't hear the fuel pump, then its a fuel pump, fuel pump relay, or ignition switch issue, not the ICM. The fuel pump will still prime even if the ICM is bad.
