Question : Egr valve gasket

Is there supposed to be two gaskets on the egr valve? 1on the bottom of the EGR valve and 1 on the bottom of the adaptor on the intake side.(93 Z34)Thanks in advance

Been awhile but I think one goes between the plenum EGR surface and the bottom side of the exhaust tube flange. And one goes between the EGR and the top of the exhaust tube flange. You need two gaskets, One the size of the EGR itself and one that is a just a section of the EGR. Get these at the dealership; they're cheap. I used two dull flat head screwdrivers to line it all up and then held the EGR down tightly while I threaded the bolts in. Use a torque wrench to the tighten to the proper amount. The gaskets are the crush type so do it right the first time to prevent leaks. Clean carbon out of the channels in the EGR valve with a soft wire brush so it doesn't get stuck open.

yes. once between the intake man. and the adaptor and once between the adaptor and the EGR.
