If the cam timing has slipped--you're lucky the engine runs. It'd be unusual for the belt to be so bad the cam timing changes; yet the cams are still close enough for the engine to idle.
First Guess: Rotted exhaust, the extra volume of exhaust gas blew a hole in the muffler.^ some people may call this guy an asshole at times, but he isn't wrong very often -- Robert

alright i changed the fuel filter, fixed the exhaust and put new plugs and wires on it. when u take off from an idle the car skips but once you get going it starts firing right and runs great and then again when u stop and come to an idle it starts running bad. my dad hooked up his scanner to it and the speed sensor code comes up, could that be the problem? and where exactly is it? also could it be the coil packs and control module?

I'd clear the code and see if it comes back. If it comes back, fix the problem and see if the misfire goes away.
