  • Favorite Spark Plugs of the 3.4L DOHC Monte Motor

    Hello,

I have a 95 Monte Carlo Z34 w/ 3.4L DOHC Engine. I am just doing a little late "spring cleaning," and am looking to change the spark plugs. Currenly I am running standard 30K A/C delco copper prong spark plugs.

I just wanted to find out before i go and replace it with the same ones if there is a favorite for this engine? Anything this engine runs better or longer on?

Don't get anything BOSCH. I use Delco Rapidfires.

personally i have seen too many stock engines runing lean. prob from the fact that these motors are plauged by vac leaks. in any case i would run a slightly leaner plug then stock. it is for this reason i cant run rapid fires any more they dont have them in the correct heat range i now run autolite AP-103's two heat ranges cooler. but for the adverage dohc'er i'd recomend the ap-104 the double plat in the autolite isnt worth it. go with the cheeper single plat and just swap them out.
