  • Miss/Studder under boost.

Ok, when i accelerate the car runs fine untill i start getting under boost ~5-6psi. then i feels like its running out of fuel or has a BIG miss. No codes/lights nothing... Ildes and drives fine when its not building boost or low ammounts of boost. here is what i have done.
    1. Replaced Fuel Filter
    2. Checked fuel pressure (~40 idle ~50under boost) and no fluctuation... Solid pressure
    3. New FPR

I'm thinking it might be a problem with the MAF or something along thoes lines.... Any thoughts...?

Is this the same car that the FPR went bad and filled your whole intake tract up with fuel? If so, I've read MAP sensors don't like fuel. Have another MAF laying around, or someone with a similar car that you could swap MAFs out for, for sake of diagnosis?

I have this happen when I get water in the spark plug holes of one bank in my Fiero. Check out your ignition system and make sure all is well. Look at your plugs too. I set my gap at 0.035"

Broken plug wire.............or gap too much on plugs..............040 or .035 is the best fit for boost.

did a scan. 58 missfire's Bank 1. Bad plug wire... Got fukd up when fuel leaked into plug hole and damaged wire. No codes nothing... glad to have OBDII once again.

I guess the simple answer is usually the right one...
