port question

upon inspecting my firewall, i noticed a port located below and a little to the left of the tranny linkage. it looks like it is for coolant. i know u guys can shed some light on this. if i had to guess i would think it had something to do with the a/c since it is disconnected. cause my heat works fine.

I dunno where the trans linkages are for an auto. There are AC lines and the heater core lines though that run through the firewall so it could be either. Hard to say without a pic or knowing where the auto stuff is.

is it a tube on the passenger side of the vehicle? if so its the drain tube for the evaporator core.
