you could always take the cam carrier off i think thats your best bet if you dont have any tools to get it off . with the carrier off u can take it welding shop n have them weld a nut to the bolt or u can try hammer something on there ur self

        ^

        Take the carrier off x2.

wow, if you are completely out of ideas, you could try grinding and re-flatening the sides to retry a 15mm socket or grind them enough to put a 14mm on there?

well, last night i said f it and pulled out the dremel and a handful of spare cutting discs. although its not the fastest, i took a lot of the bolt head off where i in theory would drill it out if i had the space. once i get down to the lock ring, i will break the other pieces of metal off and pop the sprocket off. hopefully then i will be able to vice grip the leftover bolt and remove it.

thanks a lot for all the responses!

Keep soaking the bastads with PB blaster and get the vice grip on it - heat it too - work it, it'll come out. its in a tough spot to drill the bolts out if you grind the heads down...

The point being that just use 6 point sockets on high torque bolts and where the extra points are not needed. I only use 12 point sockets if the area is tight and need more possibilities.

A 9/16 6 point may be easier to pound on a rounded 15mm. 17/32nd if you need more holding power. I had this happen way back and used a deadblow hammer to pound it on I can't remember which cam.
