    Okie dokie, everything's done back up and runs like it did before - perfectly
    I was going to take a picture of myself giving the finger to the old alternator(just like in the 60*V6 instructions ), but forgot before I took it back in to get my core refund. I just want to say that Ben's walkthrough was great, and really helped a noob like myself out. It's probably the biggest job I've tackled yet, but it went off without a hitch (once I got past the bolts)

      Lyle's GTP your right. Long as you can use heat or other means the red stuff will work. Just have to be careful where you use it. I generally use the blue stuff if thread lock is needed.I once worked for 2 days loosening a nut on a steering nuckle where it was used. Then again after thinking about it I wasnt the person who torqued the nuts down either.

        I did an oil change on a buddy's '97 Honda Accord. He always got the dealer to do it. Shit, when I tried to remove the oil plug, a pair of snipped wrenches wouldn't even budge it. I had to use a 1/2 inch impact wrench to loosen it, not to mention it took about 30 seconds before it would break loose. I'm guessing they torqued it to about 120-150 lbs. Spec. was 30 lbs. Dumb Fucks.
