black exhaust, rough idle, stalling

(after new plugs and wires) OK so I have black foul smelling exhaust, rough idle, stalling and service engine soon...what do I need to do ?

check your plug wires and plugs, sounds like leaky wires. is the cat getting really hot also? bad wires can cause a cat to melt internally
