I would see if Ben would do a chip for you that still disables the EGR, but sees it on the ALDL (if possible), and disables lean cruise.
Then again, if they hooked up to the ECM, they would see the EGR not moving. Then again, maybe if they saw it in the ECM, they might not ask questions about it not moving as long as your emissions were low enough...

Crap, I edited my last post instead of quoting it. Good one, lol.

Aaron, when I was living in denver the "enhanced" area, all the emissions testing places were state run, and they had a little mustang dyno they'd run the cars on to get "real road" results. where as you are in the "extended" area getting the basic test so they'd just sniff the talepipe. You've gotta realize that not everyone is in an area where they just sniff the pipe, or authorize some "jiffy lube" to do the testing.

That being said, when I had my 92 sunbird, I could pass the "enhanced" testing with no cat (gutted cat with straight pipe welded inside the old case) and the EGR blocked off (but looking like it was still there) - cars today are way more efficent then they used to be, and they need to realize all this other crap on the cars just lowers performance.

No seriously....I smell it to diagnose running conditions rich/lean both have a different smell, same for burning oil or coolant.

My GP runs rich...snifff* yup rich snifff fail emmisions, but stay here in the midwest

Emissions? What is that? Just about the only perk, if not the only one, of living in Indiana, lol.

TN test for two gasses (pre 96) CO%, and HC ppm. my co was 0.0%, and 11ppm HC, i would imagine if my converter was empty, it would still easily pass!

my point? I would agree, the 3.4 does very well on emissions tests
