FYI... do not sandblast cam cogs to clean them, only use a wire brush.
I blasted mine (whole cog to clean) and powdercoated just the sides to pretty them up. Since my buddy was kind enough to trash the motor after he bought it, I was able to pull and inspect the belt and pulleys.
Roughing up the belt surface of the cogs pretty much turns them into sandpaper.. and we all know what sandpaper does to rubber. Im suprised the belt lasted as long as it did.. I have never seen so much belt material caked inside that cover until now.
So, just a word to the wise, dont be an idiot like me.
