  • z34 won't start

    Running a 92 Z34 about 115k on it.
Replaced the fuel pump, Crank sensor, altinator, battery, Computer, Plugs, Wires, Throttle sensor. Alot of stuff.

Still wont start, I was told it could be the Cam Sensor. Where is it? The parts store seems to have all kinds of listings for it. Do i Even have one?

I'm gonna have a heart attack!!

1992 3.4 does not have a cam sensor. Pull the ignition module off and get it tested. Sounds like you replaced everything else!

    Good luck.

      Still no Go

We've replaced the ingnition module. Also Checked alot of wiring. The Fuel is being pumped but i guess its not modulating. its a steady flow so my car isn't firing. If i Can't fix it i'm going to call it done pretty soon and sell it off.

You need to determine if this is a no fuel or no spark issue. The easiest is to check for spark.

Pull one of the front plug wires and put an old plug in it, then touch the head to ground somewhere. Have someone crank and see if it sparks. You should also hear it zapping. If you do not have an old plug, you can hold the plug wire at an angle against ground and it should fire.

        If no spark:
Check spark on another coil. If still no spark:
        Replace crank position sensor
        replace ignition control module
        replace ECM
If spark on one coil but not all, replace faulty coil

        If spark:
Pull #6 injector connector. with test light connected to ground, probe ckt 639 (pnk/blk), light should be on.
If light on, check grounds at transmission to engine bolt (faulty ground or ECM)
If no light, check IGN fuse, 10amp. (faulty fuse or harness)
        I modify stuff
