I just bought a96 monte carlo with a broken timing belt, every place i look the info is different did it bend the valves or not any help or info would be great.
Everywhere you go the information is going to be different about this topic. From what I understand the 91 - 93 are noninterference and the 94 - 96 (not sure about the 97) are.
I have heard about a few peoples timing belt break and it did not affect the valves. It all depends on how high the engine was reved while the timing belt broke.
