The guys here recommended gmpartsdirect.com to me. Their prices are pretty competitive too. I sent them an email asking if the part numbers on this website were the same to do my 96 Monte Carlo and this is what they sent back:
24503363 timing belt
24507270 drive belt tensioner
10130957 drive belt bolt
24503859 idler timing belt pulley x 2
10110596 camshaft intermediate drive chain tensioner
11514441 camshaft drive belt idler pulley bolt
24503860 timing belt tensioner
11516186 cam shaft intermediate drive chain tensioner bolt
11514317 timing belt tensioner bolt x 2
10162013 timing belt tensioner pulley bolt

I'm not sure why everyone recommends changing the idlers and tensioner... IMO, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. My tensioner was still working flawlessly, and the idlers spun freely and had no physical problems, so I kept them. Will this affect the life of my new belt? Maybe. Don't know. I just bought the $75 belt from GM and called it a day. (didn't want to wait for the parts to come in, so I just went to the dealer)Okay now, that's enough of that.

thanks for the info. I havent checked the parts out yet but ryan.hess does have a valid argument. Why would you replace the idlers and the bolts? Anybody out there had trouble with these parts? If you have I would like to hear about it I will spend the xtra cash if I know it will keep me out of trouble down the road.2004 Grand Am GT 3400 ... The pullies do fail. They definetly have a buildup on the idler pullies from the belt material that has come off over time. This will cause indentations on the new belt and weaken it faster. The pullies can also fail internally and fall apart, which is just bad anyway. Its happened before, so I don't take any chances. That is why it is recommended to change them. Ive heard "every other belt change" as well, but its not my policy.Ben

You guys are right. Ill replace all the components at least for the peice of mind. 250 dont seem that bad.How about the difference between an aftermarket belt aka Autozone vs GMOE? Also Im having trouble coming up with a cam sprocket holder. Any body had any luck using anything else ?2004 Grand Am GT 3400 ...
