idle problems

engine idles rough when cold i know about the upper and lower intake gaskets was wondering what else would cause the same problem ? also when iam around 50- 60 mph rpms at around 2k that the engine surges from 2k rpms down to about 1900 -1800 rpm back up 2k . it will keep doing this up and down up and down until i give it more gas then it will be steady at 2k rpms. whats causing this problem? thank for any help

Besides my leaking intake gaskets, I had a bad injector that leaked by on my 3.4.L.

Is the torque converter doing something odd? I dont understand the engine surging at steady speed (or is it?). Leaking EGR will cause problems.
