The following are pics of my 1995 Monte Carlo Z34, 3.4 Litre cam sprockets:
I bought and received the following tool kit for my 3.4 Litre engine:
I have found that both the sprocket holding tool and the puller do not fit into the sprocket slots. Upon closer inspection, I see that the cam sprocket slots look nothing like the factory manual or the instructions that came with the tool kit. Both show 3 slots (for the holding tool) and 3 key holes (for the puller), I only have long slots in my sprockets that are at a larger diameter than the holding tool.
I am confused. Is there another tool kit out there I need?
Are these the correct cam sprockets for my engine?
Did GM make a change in sprockets mid-year?
Are these sprockets from a '96 3.4L?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
