  • Rear cam id help, pics request

I am currently rebuilding a 94/95 3.4 I had the rear cambox disassembled for cleaning/inspection/new endplate gasket and seals. I have a holder for the camshafts and placed the intake and exhaust in there to keep track of them. I also put the lifters in order in holders designated intake and exhaust. I didnt get a chance to work on it for a few days and have learned that the cams may or may not have been swapped in the holders (dont ask it does involve liberal four letter word usage however) How can I be certain i get the cams back in the correct positions. I am sure of getting the lifters back where they belong because they werent bothered. Does anyone have a pic of say the flats and adjacent lobes? Casting numbers? Even a pic of the top of the cambox with the cams in place and flats up would be helpful.

    Thanks,
    Raven

I actually figured it out by assembling it the way I thought it went and watching lobes. Atleast I am pretty sure i have it. Number one cylinder times on the start of the intake stroke right? I figured if the cam that I decided was the intake were placed on the exhaust side then it would be drawing air through the exhaust as the engine rotates past TDC instead of through the intake.
