yeah im runing a single exhaust now... no more duals. and it is a side pipe to boot. i wanted a simple system that flow'd well. i threw in a high flow cat for two reasons.
    1) its a big fine from the EPA if your caught without one... $1500 IIRC
    2) i think for Autocross's you need to have one.

also i dont like all that sutt that you see building up on the side or bumper of a car that is running no cat.

once the mech pulled my factory cat, i took a good look at it... it is pretty good. its a straight thru design. i expected it to be clogged but even after the 160,000 miles i had on it. you could still see right thru.

i have a little more work left for the exhaust... im gonna drop in another slightly diff muffler to drop the volume a bit... and buy a plug insert for highway trips... and i'm gonna be working on my spare set of exhaust manifolds... porting them out and all.

my flowmasters are not raspy, nice and deep. it all depends on the motor i guess, i have the flowmaster 40 series original flow, i hear the delta flow series dont sound as good.
