any1 looking for DOHC timing tools

not really an exact science. i am trying to get friday off to get things started. if that happens on schedule jason gave me an approximate turn around time of 3 weeks, so you still have almost a month.

well talked to jason friday and there seems to be a little mis-communication. he thought i wanted them in aluminum like the original and wants to change the quote so i opted to have it made out of 1/2 and 1/2.

where the middle piece will be made out of aluminum and the 2 cam levers made out of steel. if it works out the price of the quote will not change.

i told him i want the price the same since that is the quote he gave me and that is the price i gave every1 else. he said he will call me next week and lmk. so when i know, you'll know.

p.s. also another contingency i am/was prepared to take is to extend the g/b to replacement steel cam levers for those who already have the aluminum timing tools. the extra volume will hopefully compensate any price difference. hopefully this works as i do not have 1 backup plan.

yes there is.

i talked with jason today in length and the price will in fact remain the same(woo hoo). there will be 2 slight changes though to keep the price at $88 each. 1 i mentioned earlier about the center piece being in aluminum and the levers still being in steel and 2 there will be a small threaded hole in the top of the levers on one side to help hold the item in place to be machined. other than that it serves no purpose.

also the timetable is on the ball too, he said to call him in a week and 1/2 with the final count and he will begin production. this could change however depending on workload but it is encouraging for now.

i called him yesterday and he is thinking about 3weeks as an average turn around but he did say there may be a chance he can schedule it in about a week and a 1/2.

i think he was telling me the truth b/c he said to call him back in a week and a 1/2. (that would be awesome)
