  • I painted my hood vents

    Well, last Thursday i got bored. I was going to enter my car in a carshow this saturday and my hood louvers were faded and peeling so... I painted them glossy black. I think they look pretty good and i have gotton lots of compliments on them. I figured i had nothing to lose anywhay. Just thought i would show yall incase you wanted some ideas.

        I also like it... but you need to carry more black on the rest of the car now... try painting the other louvers on front black (like the blades and about a 1/4 to 1/2 inch border around them) and also the scoop under the bumper! just the lower lip make that black!

          Funny you mentioned that. I was actually thinking about doing just that. In that pic my car looks like it has a moustash. lol.

            nice.... looks good man. I have an off-topic ?? for ya Kyle... how much of a pain in the ass was it to adapt the Civic CAI? and what year was it from?

              Looks good. I have mine painted black also and I also painted the spoiler black. Both because of faded paint, and because it gives it an old muscle car look.
              1995 Pontiac GTP
              Over $12K invested, and still its slow. Maybe thats because thats most all repairs. Don\'t knock the engine though, because thats the only part that has seemed to last.

                  The arrow is now white and black because red looked like crap on my white and black theme.
