Can't get the rear head off there is a piece on the end of the head closest to the passenger door that has i think about three star bolts that i haven't taken out. please help me? i have also added a pic Its where the red circle is

Dunno, unless it's the timing tensioner bracket. Did you miss a head bolt?If you are driving a Chevy, everything else, is just a blur. 3.4 Carbon Footprint.
