well i had a brief chance to talk to jason today and if i can get the time really sit down with him this weekend.
as all of u know this will not be cheap. he quoted me that the aluminum itself will be about 60 each set.
as u know these will be machined as a single piece out of a large block. so it will definately be sweet. no welds in making the exterior.
1st area of concern that i must adress. on your stockers there are these plastic tabs inside the cam covers that allow it to mesh with the front cover. he says it will be ungodly expensive to make these into the final products.
but if you want them or do not want them lmk and i will have your quote adjusted accordingly. personally, for mine i will just have some1 else weld a tab in. if any of yoiu guys want to do them same, i can either send it to you and you guys can find a welder or let me find some1 local to do it. just a fair warning i do not know of any good welders of hand, so I MAY EVEN WAIT FOR ONE OF YOU GUYS TO DIG UP A COMPETENT ALUMINUM WELDER.
next issue there is a little hump inside the cam cover, why it is there. don't know. as above the lathe work to retain that will be high. i am not retaining mine. post up and lmk your thoughts and preferences on the subjects.
this issue was semi addressed on the rear cam cover there is also a little hump on the top of it. want it yay or nay. as i said be4 extra lathe work to retain it but not as high as going inside it.
another issue lightly touched on. on the front cam cover is on the front cam cover there is this area in there that looks like it holds a wire loom or spark plug wires etc..
i think on the earlier models be4 the coilpacks were relocated there is actually another square piece that covers this area up. what are your thoughts on this want it yay or nay. i don't really have a clue on cost yet. after we speak in length and in person. we will cover everything.
i need ALL of your inputs on the following and after i get everything hammered out(what every1 wants/doesn't want etc), i will have the official quotes.
