OK i know that all 3.4 dohcs have the lifter ticking, but my new car doesnt tick when its cold, only when it gets hot, and not even operating temp, only when its hot enough to kick the fans in. and its really loud. me and some of the guys in the shop think its probably a lifter that is fucked internally or maybe the cam carrier is expanding and it is slapping around in there. has anybody else had/ have this problem. if it is serious i would like to fix it. i know i dont have a cracked lifter because i had the heads off and checked out every lifter they all looked good. any info is great.
