  • fuel line HELP

right now i have it setup so my wet system gets it's fuel from the test port in the fuel rail.

but i want to move it to be4 the rail. at 1st i was kind of stuck b/c i had no idea how i would modify that plastic line and then it hit me.

i could go to a yard and cut out a section of 3/8 fuel rail with the test port in it, then cut that short metal line that goes into the rail and weld that other piece in.

would that work assuming there is no problem with the welds? like with that tee in there would fuel adequately go to both sources? or will the tee need to be y shaped for it to work?

just looking at it i think it will work fine but i require some advice from some1 more experienced than myself.

      RE: fuel line HELP

It is possible to cut out the plastic line and replace it with a new rubber or SS braided line. There are flanging tools available if you want to use a good high pressure line. The cheap way is to run rubber hose with double hose clamps at each end. The hose clamped rubber line will work well, but may not be as safe as a dedicated braided SS line or something like that. I did that for the fuel return line and have run rubber hose for the fuel feed on an EFI snowmobile.
