This may sound kinda stupid but what octane gas do yall usually put in these things? i havent had the car long enough to notice any difference between 87 and 89. i know certain cars like the L67's and SHO's say to use premium gas so i figured these might too. Thanks.

I would say that there is a slight difference in my car. I use regular all the time. But here recently Ive been wondering what would happen if I switched.
I used a octane booster in some regular and there was a difference, it ran alot better. before i used the booster the engine kinda knocked when I got on it.
I would say this is a good topic suz i was wondering the same thing1995 3.4 DOHC Grand Prix gtp

I would love to run a higher octane but the only problem is that you have to be freakin rich to afford the stuff. We have a place here that sells 93.5 octane gas for $2.53 a freakin gallon!!!! 87 is around $2.13. So you pick the gas you would pay if you made minimum wage.

The 3.4DOHC requires 87octane or up. You can run higher just fine, but its not needed. I run premium in my 3.4DOHC because I think it runs alittle better, but the car runs ok on 87octane.
If you are modded then you might need more than 87, but for stock or mostly stock 87 is just fine. If you are worried about it then have your car scanned to see if it is getting any knock. If it does then bump up to 89 or premium.1995 Pontiac GTP
Over $12K invested, and still its slow. Maybe thats because thats most all repairs. Don\'t knock the engine though, because thats the only part that has seemed to last.
