Just as the topic says. Running at WOT. I'm sure it's not the best for the car, but what parts really take the beating?
I'm thinking of changing my shift points so that 5K is the cut off. And I'll be adding 3.73 gears sometime soon I hope. Will this kill the tranny? I was under the impression that a WOT shift is better for the tranny because it is firmer and has less clutch slippage.
As far as the engine, what will it hurt on that? Going WOT vs 80 percent, would it shorter spring life if at 80 percent it only runs to 5K and modified shift points would also cut at 5K then the springs would be compressing at the same rate.
This is my daily driver and I'm not afraid to work on it but I don't want to have to replace it in 3 months.
