use the same bottom mount, will need to swap the upper mounts aka dogbones. You could keep the ecm if you use a '93 3.1 memcal....not positive if the harness can be used on the 3.1, good possibility!

          would a 3100 or 3.8 be a better candidate?
will they bolt to the tranny?

Those would require tuning or swapping the computer and more wiring. Putting another DOHC in would be the best candidate for performance and ease of install. Where do you live that you can't find a DOHC block or complete engine?

I live in the san fracisco bay area and I've called every junk yard within 40 miles (no kidding, my dad has a LOT of phone books) and I only found one Z34, and I couldn't find any Getrag 284's. I think junked W-bodies are just really rare on the west coast.

Ah, that does suck then. Shipping would probably suck for just a block alone as well.

I recently spun a bearing in my #4 cylinder, and let me tell you, I'd rebuild it if I was you. It wasn't cheap, the rebuild alone was $2600, then $450 for a clutch,a dnb about $200 for other random parts. But it was well worth it. And if you did the rebuild yourself, you'd save a lot. I just didn't have the time.

I went up to Marquette MI a few weeks ago, and I saw 3 different Z34s. I thought that was a little odd for being in the middle of no where.
