    RE: miles per tank

Thats about what I got out of my Z. Sometimes more, some less, depends on how much in town driving I'm doing. Of course, this current tank has lasted me since about Sept 31st :P

480-500 km for me...or 300-310 miles. But intake and exhaust may be helping there, as well as new plugs, wires, fuel filter, and other misc. when I did the last t-belt.

When I still drove my car, I got around 210-220. But who knows if the gauge is even right, and I did some spirited driving.

I see I'm right in the ballpark. 300-325 if I let it go way down. I usually fill it when it's 1/2 empty I don't like to run it too low, bad for the fuel pump.

                  Mostly hi-way driving.

What kind of highway miles per gallon do you guys get? I have a 93 z34 and I drive on the highway a lot on the weekends and in-town during the week. This past weekend I drove 265 miles and put about 9 gallons in it. I got right at 28.7. The other week after I drove in town alot I only got about 21.4 mpg. Seems like the car should run 320 miles or so on a tank in town and at least 420 on the road. That is getting 20 town/ and 28/highway.

Do you guys drive around on the floorboard all the time? I drive like an old codger too because I a)want good gas mileage, and b) don't want to wear out the car.

Also I have been putting BP white gas (93) in the car the last couple times also so I think that helps. That is probably the best common gas available in my experience.

Most of the differences you are seeing here probably have to do with "how low can you go" on the gas gauge before your next fill up. Me Ill run it down to maybe a quarter. My wife, well she likes to see how far she can go then call me to come and get her.

Has anyone noticed their fuel guage being off?

I was wondering about mine but I think it's pretty close. A little under halfway and it held 9 gallons and half should be 8.25 correct?

How much did your guage show you having left in the tank?

Does everyone run regular 87 octane in their car?

It had been on empty for 10 or 12 miles, and when I fill up it almost goes past the F on the guage
