When I fill up mine it goes down and covers up the F, nearly going underneath it. On the highway it stays under the full tank mark for around 100 miles or more. I think by the time you get to the full tank mark it has used nearly 4 gallons.

Man I think any GM vehicle Ive owned has did this crap. Fill it all the way to the top(of the filler neck) and the sombitch seems like it goes forever on "F". Then once past it goes faster.

I blew my head gasket about month or so back. It was a good enough reason to clean everything up clean the k&n, changed spark plugs, wires, timing belt, the works. And I just got 32 mpg, thats a first. My car has been in the family since it was brand new and has never gotten this kind of mileage. I love it and it runs great. It's the rare moments like this that makes me keep this car around.

That is very good. I wonder if the magnaflow exhaust helped with that too. I still have the stock mufflers on mine. I do a lot of highway cruising so I want to replace them with a more straight-through flow. I don't want the car very loud though. Really don't want to spend the money either until the stock mufflers just rust out.

Before I spend $300 or so for two Borla mufflers (which is what I'd like to have, I think) and getting them put on I can just buy the gas that a more open flow might save.

I dont know how much the exhaust helped I had it installed about a year and a half ago. I recommend Magnaflow, I had a small local shop install two Magnaflow mufflers, resonator, and all new tubing (2 1/2 to 2 1/4 at the Y) for about 350 for everything including labor. Its not too loud.

I recommend keeping your car maintained. I haven't done any maintenance since its been labelled as "totalled". I was always one to say "it can't hurt that much". But trust me, im getting probably 2mpg here now. I go from school to the snowboard hill to home and thats maybe 6 miles of driving tops, all added togethor, and it took a 1/4 tank. Also i was at empty, so i put 5 dollars in, and i was still at empty.

I don't know since I never run the car out of gas. I averaged last time at 31mpg so if you go by the tank at 16gallons thats 496 miles a tank. 95 GTP with a whopping 101K miles on it and 91-93 octane!

I check my MPG by using the Trip odometer. Fill up with gas and reset the trip odometer. Next time I fill up I divide the miles I ran by how many gallons it took to fill up. I get a pretty exact MPG that way.

I have not filled the car up in a year so when I do this week I will tell you again what the average is. It has only gone alittle over 100miles since last year! WOOHOO

Over $12K invested, and still its slow. Maybe thats because thats most all repairs. Don\'t knock the engine though, because thats the only part that has seemed to last.
