  • How to tell if car came with keyless entry?

I got a 94 GTP with basicly all the options
Sunroof, Hud, steering wheel controls, 2nd gear start, B4U

Is there a way to tell if car has the system?
    -2000 GTP - 332/426
-94 GTP - Stock, But needs new:
Door, Steeringwheel, fender, windshield and window for new door, and power steering line.

There should be a little black box under the drivers side of the dash. That would be the recieving unit for the signal from the remotes. If thats there I would say it probably came with keyless entry.

There seems to be a pattern there.

if im not mistaken the back box is in the rear, under the panel that covers the rear speakers, it says trw on it.

I thought it was under the rear as well, close to the antennae so you can ground the wire to set the key fobs.

So if it's in the back, what is the little black box under my dash that's connected in with the ignition lockout, lights, and God knows what else, it has wires going everywhere. It's a factory GM box, not an aftermarket alarm or keyless entry.

Sorry won't be able to get a pic until next week, never home anymore between class/work/internships/etc.

Chime box does kinda make sence thought since it is wired to from what I can tell, just about everything that makes noise. Just looks a heck of a lot like about every other remote start/keyless entry box i've ever seen. Thanks.

Yeah, the chime box has a few wires going into it.

Here's another way to check if you have keyless entry. Look at the Serive Parts Identification Label (probably on the spare tire cover) And see if you have the RPO code "AUO" if you have it your car came with keyless entry.

                    Hope that helps.
