  • DOHC Current Draw

Hey guys. I need to know what the maximum current draw for our cars would be assuming, fully loaded GTP. I need to know, because I am upgrading my battery wiring and am installing high current curcuit breakers. One for my stereo, one for the vehical electrical and one for the starter. Also, will a 200 amp CB be enough for the starter? I know that starters can pull some serious juice, but I figure if it needs more than 200 amps there is something wrong. Oh, I don't want to use any fusable links. I think they are the best way to start a fire under your hood.

200 seems kinda low. All the batteries I have seen are 600+. Anyway, I think it was jmgtp that did the load test. Everything going it was about 110 amps I believe. I know it was over the stock alt output and that wasn't even with an aftermarket stereo going. Maybe not even turn signals or rolling the windows down either, so figure in some more for that, and moving the power seats if you have them.
