mine ran perfect and one day it had it and spun 4 out of 6 bearings, lol , i find it funny cuz i dont care.

I don't remember who, but someone hear had his Mobil 1 tested after like 10,000 miles, and the results came back that it was still safe to use. Mobil 1 says like change it every 5-6k, I just change it at 3 to avoid problems.
However I am going to assume that the Mobil 1 would still be useable after 10k as well. I wouldn't do it, but if they say change it every 5k, I bet that in a clean motor after 10k it would still be ok.
But if you are that cheap or lazy, then just get generic and change it every 3k...
Either my engines just too clean or my oil's not cleaning... when I got my oil changed they were shocked that it was 8000(km) since the last change. My oil stays clear, and exceptionally clean. for 1000 i'd buy it, throw it in a fiero . And i have no idea on LQ1 lifespan, iknow mines lasted 315,000kms... with a rebuild, i think, i dunno...

mine's a 1992 with 200'000 with only mobile one an i change it once a year with no ill effects a filter twice ayear hell oil don't wear out just bgetts dirty
