Does Ben's chip help that much with an auto tranny? Also will revving that high in an auto make the trans explode?
Yes it helps ESPECIALLY with the auto, since it modifies our shift points.

and Yes it will make the tras explode...eventually.

Get a good tranny cooler and dont do it that often, youll be cool

Mine has been shifting at 6800 rpms for over a year now... zero problems.

Also, the 4T60E/DOHC equipped cars came with a factory external tranny cooler so there is no need to add one.

I always thought the story behind the auto's was that they didn't like power, but could handle the high rpms.

Ignore my misinformation if you don't know, but if you do, set me straight .

            D'oh, meant to say 91-93...

High RPM will kill a tranny before power will.

I heard also that a lot of low end tq also hurts the 4t60e trannies.

I've heard it hates low end tq, and hates the heat from high RPMs

Haha alright well i was half right, i had always heard that the 4t60's hated power (low end torque).

I figured since it had a tranny cooler the high rpms wouldn't bother it too much.
