I've almost got it worked out to where I can by a brand new 3.4 crate engine from my college(almost complete, missing a few pieces). The engine is from 1994..we actually have a few of them, but not many more "untouched" ones since more people have ventured into taking apart/putting back together the DOHC's during the course of their engine rebuilding classes(I chose the 3.4 to disassemble a few months back when I was in that course as well....). Anyways, I just thought I would share. I'm not 100% certain what I'll do with the 3.4, but it's likely going to involve RWD(not your everyday application ..some may remember what I've talked about in the past) and a turbocharger.

Ben, I will likely be putting it in a rwd Volvo..probably a 700/900 series sedan or maybe even a wagon , I guess it depends on what I find at the time. I wasn't really sure what year harness and all to use, I've been pondering that a bit lately. I guess if the 94 would be the easiest, that's what I want. I would really like to have something I can tune myself(later on of course since I haven't actually researched chip/computer tuning at all other then checking prices on setups people are using).

I hate to say it, but I don't see an aftermarket boom happening any time soon, lol.-60v6's 2nd Jon M.

That's a 30 year span. I am not trying to be an ass here, but do you think you will have your car in 30 years? Besides, global economy is a little different then the aftermarket economy. I do hope you are right though, that we would have a good aftermarket in a couple years. But right now I don't think we have shit, which sucks for us.-60v6's 2nd Jon M.

HAHAHAHAHAHAAHA!!!
How can you compare the United States economy to the aftermarket car parts business? Our cars will never have a huge aftermarket... know why? Because they aren't made anymore! What company wants to go through HUGE development costs to make parts for a motor that stopped production 7 years ago and only spanned 6 years? (Don't compare this to a Camaro/Mustang/whatever either--RWD applications have infinitely more of a following)
/rant (I could go on forever :P )

No I doubt our aftermarket will ever be of a decent size-and it seems as if it won't even get bigger than it is.
And god I hope I don't have my car in 30 years-60v6's 2nd Jon M.
