i have recently acquired a 95 monte carlo with a 3100 installed and was heard the 3100 and the 3.4 have the same blocks. What are the chances of turning the 3100 into a 3.4?
impossiable due to the fact the 3100 is a push rod engine and the 3400dohc is over head cam you could engine swap it and put the 3400dohc in it but you cant turn a 3100 into a 3400dohc. now you could bore it over and put a set of 3400 pushrod heads on it and make it in to just a 3400 pushrod engine
OR you could go to a 3500 setup.... Seems to be the trend... No one but fiero guys and a few of us Odd balls like the DOHC anyway, it takes a special breed to like this motor lol
