    I'd like to get rid of that damn thing. Would I encounter any problems with it and all the lines being gone?

    No, but it is illegal to take it off. Have to be sure to turn off the CCP valve, you might also loose a slight amount of fuel economy and your car might constantly smell like gasoline. If you do remove it make sure to fashion something up on the vent tube so if you manage to flip your car over that it doesn't start dumping fuel all over the place through the vent.

        I'm pretty sure it is in the rear drivers side bumper, right behind the tire.
