Trunk springs weak

The trunk on my 95 lumina doesnt stay up when opened,is there any way to adjust the springs?.My car came with a factory spoiler like the ones one the montes with the rear brake light in it,could that be added extra weight to it.the trunk stays open but any light breeze will close it.

Junkyard... Or if your Lumina is like my GP there are notches for the spring and you can stiffin the spring but maybe not an option on your car.

There should be different slots that you can put the trunk spring into that will stiffen or weaken the spring. Just switch the slot the spring is in and it should make your spring stronger.
