  • Head port size?

OK, so im thinking about making some new turbo manifolds and X-over and just trying to figure out what size piping i need to make them. What size is the outlets of the heads?

Anyone have pics of the stock front manifolds? looking for Inside pics mostly...

I figure the stock logs are pretty restrictive. Im trying to squeeze more power out of my current setup..

Lucky you the top end of my engine is all apart and on the bench.
List exactly what you want pics of (and angles if you want specific pics) and I can take them tomorrow.
So far just the front log? I can measure some things too, I think the battery in my caliper might be dead though.

I would be interested in a pic of the inside of the manifold. from the end if you have one.. just don't remember how restrictive it is... im thinking about making a new tubular style to replace my existing log hoping to make a little more power and faster spool. I appreciate anything you can get

I found a side shot from the gallery pics..

      Thanks,
      S

        Hey Shane,

I didn't see your reply before taking the pics. I think the angle you are looking for is from the 'exit' end of the manifold and looking down it - which I didn't take. Next time I'm at the garage I will snap that angle for you. I think you'll want to see it from the front manifold since the rear one has bends at the exit for the crossover and downpipe and you wouldn't be able to see down it.

Here is what I did take:

Here are the pics I took. You can at least see the narrowings in the log.

If you want any other angles let me know, this is nearly the last piece of my motor that isn't back together - need to get some new studs.

Side note, you can see the bolts in the manifold that plug the air injection lines. I was too lazy to cut them down to the right length so I welded the holes up. Just saying since I seem to recall some discussion in the past on whether or not the manifolds could be welded - they can and it wasn't any more difficult than welding steel.

I concur, manifolds can be welded easily (and my welding skills are far from anything to brag about! in fact, they shouldn't be called skills at all...). I did this to mine a few years ago just before the 60v6 meet in Bowling Green, Kentucky while swapping the stock heads for the p&p heads from the 91.
