Maybe your battery? If you have spark, fuel and everything else is ok, then there is a big problem. Now if you can tell us more then we can help. What Fuel PSi you have, are there any cell lights, what was done to the engine?

welll what had happened was the timing belt snaped and when i put the new one on i had problems everyone told me it sounded like bent valves so i pulled the top half off and had the heads tested and milled and i ended up with a messed up lifter not a bent valve so i ordered new lifter that was a pain cuz thay change the lifter size in 92 and with 91 being the first yr i had to do sum research to find them when i put it back togather it ran a lil rough but it would launch spin the tires and go check engin light came on code 15 coolent sensor circit temp to low figured it was a lil off on the cam timing havent checked yet was late when i finished it so it was driving for less then 20 miles and it stalled thought it might be the fuel filter changed it and still nothing i dont know what fuel psi im gettin but after trying to start it i hit the check valve on fuel rail and it shoot to the hood of the car i put a timing light on it and it was sparking early or it would seem it showed the line higher then where it was when i set tdc any help is apprecated

The lifters are the same from 91-96. Timing light will show advanced timing that changes, plus its waste spark so that makes it interesting as well.

When you timed it, did you set both banks to have the cam flats up at the same time?

They changed to 33mm in 97.

The original GM service manual said to have both banks with the flats up, but was later corrected to say that one bank has the flats up while the other bank has the flats down. You have to time one side, then turn the crank 360 degrees and then time the other side. If you have them both up, it runs like a dual 3 cylinder since the waste spark will still send spark to the opposite cylinder. Ive heard and rode in a car with the timing setup like this and it sounds like you description.
