Aye...One a day should get me by untill May LOL.

Someone at school said that thier Auto Shop has a Valve Lathe, supposed to hold the valve face/cap in a special holder and the stem is in a protected chuck. He told me that he can surface the cap-stem, he doesn't reccomend making the stem smaller in any area for durability reasons.

I've made up my mind. I'll do stock valves, I've got a connection here. The guy is a core supplier and has torn apart 3-4 new 3.4's so he has all the internals. Cranks and stuff he gets rid of easy, but valve trains sit forever. So his price for new valves was $10.00 CDN this includes the valve, spring and retainer. I think he's selling lifters too for $10.00 a piece as well. I'm going to go down next week and see what he still has. If anybody is interested, I could hook you up, he'd appretiate the business too. Just let me know.

10 bucks for all the valves and springs and shit, or 10 bucks for each valve/spring/retainer/lock. I got some lifters today that im testing that are lighter than stock and have less pump up from what I can tell

Are you rebuilding/building up your GTP, Lyle? I'd be really interested to know what your results are.

Oh, sorry. It's for each valve, and he'll throw in the spring and retainer. I'll let you guys know what's up with availability. What do you mean by locks? Do you mean the keepers?

Yeah, that's the plan. Here's the scoop. (some stuff may change).

This is everything and it's long, sorry guys, feel free to make fun of any grammatical errors. Also I want all input on this plan. Hoping to get started in June/July sometime.
                          HEADS
My P/P heads decked .005" with all new valve train, with polished reground valves, shimmed stock pre 96' springs, maybe some of Bens lifters may also polish combustion chambers depending on Bens input here.
                          TIMING
New chain, new belt, new idlers, New tensioner and possibly new cams, but depends what happens here, if not 13 degree retard.
                          BOTTOM END
New crank, hypereutectic pistons, TotalSeal rings, good bearings, cryo-treated, balanced & blueprinted, torque plate honed to tight-ass tolerences, decked .010-.015", and bored as little as possible.
                          INTAKE
Polished lower intake, Bored 70mm TB, Custom cold air intake.
                          IGNITION
(Already have) MSD DIS-4, Magnecor 8.5mm Wires, NGK irdium plugs, new GM coilpacks and relocated coilpacks (maybe)
                          ACCESSORIES
New rad (maybe), high output alt. w/optima yellow top (already have), custom power cables, new O2 sensor, oil cooler from pre 94', oilpan heater, circulating block heater, pre engine oiler kit, silicone vacume lines, new rack w/stainless braided teflon lines, Dayco polycog sertentine belt and tranny cooler.
                          TRANNY
New tranny, either Domestic Preformance or Intense Preformance or locally built equivalent 4T60E-HD or 4T65E-HD (not sure which), preloaded limited slip diff., 3000ish stall T/C plus all other goodies and I figure while I'm at it I will fill it with synthetic ATF too.
                          SUSPENSION AND HANDLING
Throwing mono-leaf in the bushes, Full coil-over suspension w/KYB GR-2's, Addco rear anti sway bar, front and rear strut tower braces, poly bushing kit (anywhere but RSM), 1" drop w/camber kit, new ball joints, 18" 7-spoke chrome rims and GoodYear F-1 245-45ZR 18's.
                          BRAKES
Slotted rotors, Preformance Friction pads, stainless braided lines.

Also going for possibly new ECU, depends on tranny though and custom chip. I will be using all Felpro gaskets, custom exhaust system (maybe mandrel bent....$$$$$?), Cat. will be with the mono leaf. Now last but not least, a 100HP nitrous boost probably the NOSzle system (depends on fit and the bling supply). I also will be installing my stereo system (finally). Also some minor interior mods.

So far my exaggerated price comes in around $15000.00CDN if I do all assembly and install work myself. Been pricing and researching this shit for 3 years. Now my car is paid off so this is starting to materialize. Maybe in a year or so it will be supercharger time, oh yah!

Yeah, should be fun though. It will probably come in less than that, but I'm planning high for any unseen expenses. I'm tired of doing shit piece by piece. I'm either going to do this or buy a 350Z. But this way is a whole lot cheaper, plus by the time I put that amount of money into my car to make it worth that much money, it would blow the doors WAY off a 350Z. I also couldn't do the rice thing, It's just not right.

Anyway, I have alot of the components already, and connections to some cheap, quality machine work. That helps keep the prices down. The only thing that is going to cause problems is bringing shit from the states, their's always some hidden fees/taxes/charges or what ever tacked on.

It's going to be a total sleeper too, no steal-me stickers, crazy flames, super-loud exhaust or shit like that. Only rims and rubber (not even that flashy either). Just a rice killer.
