1-2 mine shifts from 7000-7200 according to my scan tool. It's funny during the shift the whole nose of the car lifts up then falls down and tugs to the right. Then again I think it has always done that... Also mine is minutely not stock either....

my auto shifts right around 7000.... not stock as well......... how new of lifters and springs do u need.. i have some with about 30k on them1994 Cutlass Supreme Convertible 3.4 DOHC

Have a machine shop check out the block to make sure it is fine to bore and you should be good to go. The bearing areas for the crank might need work since a bearing spun, that would require oversize bearings, but that old block could very well be worth holding on to for a rebuild.-60v6's 2nd Jon M.
